Hah! Huntsville is the MLS Next Pro team, whose owner also owns Nashville FC in the MLS. So its failure may finally allow a USL team to thrive in that city. Likewise, the best talent on Huntsville --on the pitch and in the back office-- will continually get pulled up to the first team (Nashville)....
There's some truth to what you're saying, as far as talent being taken away. In a true minor league model, it's built specifically for that purpose. Develop players, coaches, and staff. What HV has going for it is that it's a successful organization. They draw well, communicate well, and engage the community well. In that environment, wins and losses will matter less than other clubs. But I wouldn't be surprised to see a coaching move. That would be the primary concern for developing players correctly
