Lower Alabama soccer comes to a close for 2024

FC Birmingham was on the road to face Kalonji Pro-Profile in the playoffs, looking to pull off an upset. Kalonji proved to be too much, and FCB lost 2-5.

FC Columbus Elite was looking to continue their run in the playoffs, in the hopes of being promoted to the Premier divsion. They had to travel to Limeno, and this was expected to be a tough battle between two of the top teams in the conference. The game went to extra time, but Elite fell short, losing 2-3.

The losses by Elite and FCB means that Lower Alabama teams are done playing until Spring. The past couple of weeks have shown that doesn't mean it will be a quiet period, as there should be plenty of roster moves, schedule updates, etc.

Birmingham Legion had their annual fan event, Gifts, Kicks, and Crafts. This was a kid-focused event where there were holiday crafts, cookies, and hot chocolate. And then kids took to the field to take penalty shots against Santa Van Oekel.
