Huntsville City FC
Sometimes it just isn't your night. Huntsville has played a different style under head coach Chris O'Neal. They are a team that wants possession, and is very aggressive going forward with the ball. The classic dilemma with this style is that the vulnerability comes from counterattacks. Against Inter Miami II, Huntsville dominated every aspect of the game on paper, except for the score. HV loses 0-2 at the hands of the Inter keeper, who made nine saves to keep a clean sheet.
FC Birmingham
FCB played their first game in their newest home stadium, against North Georgia United. NGU came to town after beating Fountain City 5-3., so showed that they will score a lot of goals, but will also allow a lot of goals. That held true Saturday night. FCB gets a point at home against a tough opponent with a 3-3 draw.
The Adjacency
After dominating the Spring regular season, Fountain City came into Saturday's game on a three game losing streak. They would be looking to stop the slide in their first home game of the season. In a hard-fought game against a new rival, Fountain City came away with a tight 1-0 win. The lone goal came from a blast from twenty yards that beat the keeper high, in the 70th minute.
