Week Ahead Preview
The hectic Summer season is winding down
Mid-week results:

Legion 2 2-1 Montgomery United. The Hammers came from behind and then scored the game-winner late on a corner kick.
Birmingham Legion 0-0 Charleston Battery. Legion came out with a great strategy to shut down the best attack in the league. Matt van Oekel had some huge saves as well.
SSA 4-1 Columbus United. A surprising loss on the road.
Union 10 5-0 Pensacola Academy. Union solidifies their spot at the top.
Birmingham Legion FC
Legion will be on the road against Rhode Island on Sat July 5 at 6:00. The previous meeting this season went to Rhode Island 1-0. Birmingham has yet to ever beat Rhode Island, and will be looking to change their fortunes against Coach K. Both teams have had a tough start to the season, and are separated by just one point in the table. Albert Dikwa will be the player to watch. He's always been a streaky scorer, and he's coming in off of a hat trick in the Jagermeister Cup game against Portland.
Huntsville City FC
This week see HCFC on the road against New York Red Bulls 2 on Sunday July 6 at 6:00. The Red Bulls are the top team in the East, and this will be a tough outing for HCFC. This should be high-scoring, entertaining match. Huntsville will be looking to steal points.
USL2

Dothan have earned a hard-fought place in the playoffs. They've had a great run through the Group of Death, and look to be ready to make some noise. They've also entered the USL2 national power rankings at number 20. The slate of games this week will wrap up the regular season.

Tue July 8 Dothan United vs East Atlanta FC at 7:30

The League for Clubs
Union 10 had two big wins last week over Gulf Coast United that locked in a home spot in the first round of the playoffs. They'll face Tallahassee SC, who they did not play during the regular season. Time and date has not been set.
UPSL
UMA's first round playoff match against Dalton United saw 12 goals scored before the outcome was finally decided in a shootout. In the next round, UMA was on the road Kalonji Pro-Profile, and another high-scoring game was expected. But UMA put away KPP 1-0 in a defensive struggle. This week has UMA on the road again to face Potros on Saturday, July 5 at 7:00. The winner will be the champion for the Premier Georgia conference. Potros will be favored, having won the regular season game 3-1.
Women's matches
The Lower Alabama women's teams all wrapped up their seasons last week. Legion WFC finished strong with two solid wins last week.
