UPSL 1 Fall
The Adjacency grows, and FCB 2 return

The Fall season for UPSL Premier clubs in the Lower Alabama territory (FC Birmingham and Fountain City) began last week. But UPSL1 games will start the weekend of Sept 14/15. Teams included in Lower Alabama coverage are:
FC Birmingham II
This is the reserve team for FC Birmingham, and while this team has existed in the past, they didn't play in Spring 2024.
The Adjacency
FC Columbus Elite
This is a team that was under the radar for me until they faced Fountain City at the end of the Spring season. Their first season in UPSL was Spring, and they were a mid-table team.
Columbus Knight Eagles FC
The Knight Eagles are new to the UPSL for the Fall season, having previously played in a local men's Sunday league in Columbus, where they were league champions. This team sits atop a youth club that's focused on player development U14 and above.
The addition of the Knight Eagles means that the Columbus, Georgia market now has four competitive adult men's teams that all started play in 2024. Sadly, with FC Birmingham fielding two teams in UPSL divisions that contain three teams from the Adjacency, not one Fall match will be played in Birmingham when these teams face each other. Hopefully that will change for Spring.
