The Wild West
The final standings for GCPL West come down to the wire

The playoff picture for the GCPL will come down to the end in both divisions, with more uncertainty in the West than in the East. This is after this past weekend’s results, and more detail than the Week Ahead Preview will offer.
West
Top-ranked Southern States play bottom-ranked BRSC in the final game. On the odd chance that BRSC pulls an upset, LA Krewe would have to win their final game 23-0 to get the tiebreaker for GD.
#2 LA Krewe faces #3 Gulf Coast United in their final game. GCU must have the win here to move into second place, and avoid being shuffled down to fourth (if Gaffa wins their game).
#4 Gaffa FC faces #5 Shreveport United in their final game. Gaffa can hop up to third place if they win, coupled with a GCU loss. A draw will see Gaffa remain in fourth place by virtue of GD, and will eliminate Shreveport from contention.
East
The East is a spoiler story waiting to happen. It all hinges on Pensacola Bay United.
Roots has finished up regular sesson play, so a win (or wins) from PBU in either of their two remaining games will put Roots out of the playoffs, and PBU into fourth place. Roots could have greatly improved their chances if they hadn't stumbled against AFC Mobile (where they blew a big lead as well).
Sowegans have locked up first place. PBU also cannot overtake ALFS or Union 10.
Second and third places are up in the air. ALFCS and Union 10 both have one game remaining, and those games are against PBU. If ALFCS wins on July 6, they will lock up second place, which gets them a home game to start the playoffs. If they lose, the door will open for Union to move up to second place against PBU on July 9.
