Fernando Delgado returns
Legion makes their first move

18 year-old Fernando Delgado has been transferred to Birmingham Legion for NextPro side Real Monarchs. Delgado played three games for Legion on loan this past season among all of the injuries at goalkeeper. This move is permanent, and not a loan.
Legion is one of the clubs that haven't made a sweeping roster announcement as of yet, so there's a lot of speculation on what this move could mean. Will Delgado be a third GK, will MVO be retiring to coach, etc. Hopefully, Legion will make a roster statement within the next day or two. The only other sure thing is that Darwin Matheus is under contract for 2025.
Other former Legion players of note
Collin Smith and Gabriel Alves were not retained by Rhode Island FC. JJ Williams and Zach Heriveaux were.
Marlon Santos, Bruno Lapa, and Neco Brett are free agents after Memphis 901 folded.
Derek Dodson (loanee this season) was not retained by his parent club, Minnesota United.
Rida Zouhir (loanee this season) was not retained by his parent club, Montreal CF.
Miggy Perez (loanee this season) was retained by his parent club, St Louis SC.
Grayson Dupont was not retained by Spokane Velocity. Grayson played just 7 minutes at the beginning of the first game before an injury ended his season.
Mateo Bunbury signed a one year extension with Portland Timbers 2.
More updates will be posted throughout the week.
